    • Medical, dental, and vision care
    • Life and accidental death insurance
    • Long and short term disability
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    • Retirement savings options
    • Paid time off and holidays
    • Educational assistance

    Medical

College Foundation, Inc. offers an open access PPO health plan through BCBSNC. Open access means you do not need to select a primary care physician, nor do you need a referral to visit a specialist.

    Dental

College Foundation, Inc. offers an excellent dental plan through Guardian. While there is a network associated with this plan, there is no penalty for not using the network. Whether your dentist is in or out of network, the benefits will be paid the same regardless.

    Vision

College Foundation, Inc. offers a group Vision Plan to you through Superior Vision Services. When you are ready to utilize your benefits, locate a participating provider and inform them that you are a Superior Vision Services member.

    Life

College Foundation, Inc. provides Employee Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance as a part of our basic package through USAble at no cost to you. Coverage for your dependents is voluntary, meaning you pay the cost of coverage for dependents.

    Long Term Disability

As an employee of College Foundation, Inc. you have access to purchase a group Long Term Disability policy through Lincoln Financial. Should you be disabled due to an injury or illness, you will receive income as long as you continue to meet the definition of disability through the benefit period. This benefit is contributory, which means you have the choice of paying 100% or 50% of the entire cost of coverage.

    Short Term Disability

As an employee of College Foundation, Inc. you have access to a group Short Term Disability policy through Lincoln Financial that provides income while you are disabled due to illness or accident and cannot work. This benefit is voluntary, which means you pay the entire cost of the coverage.

    Employee Assistance Program

To give employees an additional resource to resolve personal or work-related problems at the earliest stage possible, CFI engages the services of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is available to CFI employees and their immediate family, which for purposes of this program is defined as "those family members living in the same household with you." The EAP offers professional and confidential counseling and referral services for an array of personal problems and/or financial situations

    403(b) Retirement Plan

CFI’s Defined Contribution Retirement Plan ("CFI’s 403(b) Plan") is administered by Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA). The plan offers the option to make both pretax and Roth (after tax) contributions, subject to IRS limits.

    Paid Leave

CFI has a generous paid annual leave and medical leave policy for full-time and half-time employees based on length of service. In addition, if you are a full-time or half-time employee and have worked at CFI at least one year, you are eligible for one personal holiday during the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

    Holidays

CFI provides 10 paid holidays to full-time and half-time employees. The hours earned per individual day for holidays will be 8 hours for a full-time employee and 4 hours for a half-time employee.

    Education Assistance

CFI emphasizes the importance of employee training and development by encouraging participation, as time and funds allow, of full-time employees in the following: (i) conferences, meetings, seminars, and workshops associated with professional certification or job-related training; and (ii) academic courses related to the particular area of CFI job responsibility which would maintain or improve skills required for the job; provided that, the courses do not interfere with the performance of the duties at CFI.
